Alice in Putterland

Fall down the rabbit hole at this fantastical mini golf experience in New Brighton.

Alice in Putterland is an 18-hole indoor mini golf experience located in Brighton Mall, run by New Brighton locals Mark and Hazel Jenkins.

The concept for this immersive adventure came about after Hazel had a vivid dream one night. She shared the dream with Mark, and the pair got to work, eager to bring their exciting vision to life in New Brighton.

The course takes you on a journey inspired by the different adventures Alice has in Wonderland. The first six holes focus on her arrival – falling through the ceiling and having trouble finding the right key, not to mention fitting through the odd-sized door, before meeting the Mad Hatter at his tea party.

The next six holes have you entering a psychedelic glow zone complete with Cheshire Cat, and the final six feature the Red Queen and nods to the castle of Wonderland. Put your brave pants on to face a hole guarded by the Jabberwocky!

The Mad Hatter’s table is perfect for children’s birthday parties or evening functions, and there’s nothing like a bit of mystical mini golf to bring a team together – Alice in Putterland can also host your team building and corporate functions.

The course’s fantastic Wonderland murals were created by the local graffiti team from New Brighton Outdoor Art Foundation. You can stock up on Alice supplies, dresses, and pick up a gorgeous locally-made gift at the merchandise store.

Opening hours are 10am to 6pm seven days. Thursday and Friday the course is open late until 8pm, and there are options for after-hours bookings by arrangement.

Costs are $15 for adults (15 years old and over) and $10 for children.
